Privacy Policy
At Infonions we put people first. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, and your rights.
Summary (short)
We collect minimal personal data to provide personalised consulting and vendor matches. Volunteer-collected data used for ranking is verified and anonymized. We never sell personal data. You can access, correct or request deletion of your personal data.
1. Data we collect
- User-provided data: name, contact (email/phone), city/district, budget, problem descriptions and optional profile details you provide when using our services.
- Volunteer-collected field data: household-level indicators (income bracket, household size), vendor prices, infrastructure observations (water, roads, electricity), and employment counts; collected with consent and supervisors' verification.
- Usage & device data: IP address, device type, browser, and anonymized analytics to improve the service.
- Payment & billing data: for paid services; stored securely and not used for profiling outside billing needs.
2. How we use data
- Provide personalised matches: use your profile and needs to recommend vendors and services within your budget.
- Aggregate for rankings: volunteer data is anonymized and aggregated into district-level indices (living score, infrastructure, employment).
- Improve the platform: product improvements, volunteer training, and fraud prevention.
- Vendor matchmaking & lead routing: we share contact details with verified vendors only when you request a match or consent to be contacted.
3. Sharing & third parties
- We do not sell personal data.
- Vendors: contact & need details are shared with verified vendors only when you request a match or opt in. Vendors must agree to our data-handling terms.
- Service providers: we use trusted providers (hosting, payment processors, analytics) under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Legal requests: we may disclose information to comply with lawful requests or to protect rights and safety.
4. Anonymization & published datasets
Before volunteer data is used in rankings or published reports, we remove personal identifiers, aggregate values at district or higher levels, and apply noise-resistance checks so individuals cannot be re-identified. Published datasets contain only aggregated indicators and district-level scores unless explicit consent is obtained.
5. Security & retention
- Security: data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised staff and partners.
- Retention: personal data is retained only as long as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or for legitimate business purposes. Anonymized datasets may be retained indefinitely for research and reporting.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal/operational exceptions).
- Opt-out of personalised recommendations and marketing communications.
To exercise these rights contact: privacy@infonions.com — we will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for session management, analytics and product improvements. Analytics data is anonymized. You can control cookie preferences in your browser; critical cookies required for security and functionality are necessary for the service.
8. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child’s data has been collected, contact privacy@infonions.com to request removal.
